The royal treatment! Princess Mette-Marit of Norway meets patients at Ethiopian hospital including one with a giant face tumour after being handed a traditional headband on village trip

So it is of little surprise Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and her husband Crown Prince Haakon made sure to visit patients during a visit to an Ethiopian village on Wednesday.
The pair visited the Alert Center and spoke to a woman who has a large tumour in her throat and a man who has lost an eye.
Later on, Mette-Marit went and visited the Alert Center in Addis Ababa and spoke to patients
She wore a different outfit for the visit. It consisted of a flowery white dress with a pink suit jacket
Among other things, the couple greeted a patient with a large tumor on the throat
They then visited the Norwegian Lutheran Mission, where they saw pictures from King Olavs visit to Ethiopia in 1966. Pictured is a patient at the hospital with a damaged eye
Earlier in the day, the pair were invited to a coffee tasting on the outskirts of Addis Ababa.
Mette-Marit, 44, looked delighted as she was presented with a traditional beaded headband by one woman, beaming with delight as it was tied around her head.
She dressed down for the day trip in patterned trousers and a flowing white top and kept her shoulders covered in a fluorescent pink and purple striped shawl.

The prince and princess listened intently during the lesson. Coffee production in Ethiopia dates back to dozens of centuries – the coffee plant originates there
She and her husband were then seen intently sniffing different types of coffee before drinking
The pair looked quizzical as they sampled the different coffees during the workshop
Dressing for the sunny weather, Mette-Marit wore a pair of fashionable brown sunglasses.
It was a swift change from her previous outfit – a white flowery dress complete with a bright pink Bouclé jacket.
Earlier in the day, the princess wore a white crochet-style blouse with navy polka dot trousers.
